✨🌈🌟☀️🌊Summer recap💦🫧☔️+Favorites🌻🌹🌷💐Camps, dental updates, and much more!🐚🪸🪻🪷🌺🌸🌼Yay!🍀☘️🌿🌱🌳🌴

Hello!!! Welcome or welcome back to The Wonderful World Of Me! So, today I'll be recapping my summer, next yeek I'm going to try to do recaps of my individual summer camps, but I can't really do that right now because I did not have my blog with me then. So I'm gonna, for now, be making a jumbo post with a recap of my summer, and my current favorite things. So yeaa let's get into it! (Girl, why am I so bad with intros??!!!!)

So I first had a weekend camp, where I did some bowling, that was fun. I also tried Shirley Temple, which is a fizzy drink that has grenadine in it, it was delicious!

At that same camp, I was staying at a hotel with my friends and I locked the keycard in the room, so yea. Also, we went to an arcade, where I got two funDips, and one of them, I tried to open, then tried to close again, and it ended up spilling all over the bag I was keeping it in. Also I banged my privates on the corner of a sink and it HURT.

There was a talent show on the last day of school, and I sang "Fly Away Home" by Pink Zebra. So, that was apparently really good. Every one loved it!

The next week I went to my first summer camp, the Diller Vacation Home For Blind Children (Not sponsored). Also don't get your hopes up on a location reveal for me, it's not close to me. I had an issue there regarding my cell phone, campers there weren't allowed to keep their phones with them at night.

Since I listen to audiobooks to fall asleep, I was not happy with this news and it soon escalated to the point where it was midnight, I couldn't sleep, and I missed my mom not only because she was one person I could actually talk to about these things (Nnlike whichever random people were wandering the halls at midnight), but also, because well, yea I missed her, and it was worse because I couldn't sleep and needed something familiar in my life (Which I didn't have) so I basically just paced the hallway until someone found me. They gave me back my phone for just that once. The next morning I did some venting in my journal, talked to my Mom, and then sat at the edge of my bed being bored for an hour and a half because I was ashamed and didn't feel like being on my phone just then. Eventually my Mom convinced the director to let me keep it, so that worked out. The other bad thing about it was that everything was very scheduled, including when we had to shower and brush our teeth, that meant there was always someone (Or multiple someones) waiting to use the sinks or the showers and so I had to sorta rush and that was annoying.

But aside from that, it was awesome! I got some fudge, which was really yummy, some ice cream, which kept on dripping all over me. The first night I had the ice cream it was really windy and I used up 5 napkins. FIVE!!!

The second night it dripped a lot but it dripped on my camp shirt, which I didn't even like anyway, so that was ok.

We went to an amusement park with a water park, I was in the pool for two hours, and I had my shorts on, I didn't even notice until I got out. Also it was hidden by my camp T-Shirt which they made us wear IN THE POOL which was somewhat annoying, it was super long so it kept on billowing out and getting full of water, so it was hard to swim, or even trudge, around, if I wasn't wearing that, I would've noticed the shorts immediately, that was really funny.

I also did go on some really fun amusement rides there!

I also rode on a yacht that was really fun.

We also went to the beach a lot because, well, it was a beach camp, and I got kinda bored of that. Although my experience there was mixed, I'll definitely go again next year! Oh and also I went to like a convenience store, and I bought a thing of JuicyDrops which I ate, a snickers, a twix, a rice Krispie treat, and a bracelet with turtles on it which I think I lost—Already. Woops!

Next camp, which was two weeks, with a weekend break in between, I've been going there since I was 7, so I pretty much knew the drill. Nothing really memorable happened there it was just kinda...normal. I had a Double Chocolate Brownie milkshake at the Shake Shack, that was yummy, even though it was really big and I don't think I finished all of it, I don't remember though. I also went blueberry picking but it wasn't that enjoyable because it was boilin' hot like 90° and I got a bit of heat exhaustion so that wasn't fun. I also tried boba / bubble tea and it was ok… the tea part was ok, the bubbles were not. They were mango, I chose that because it sounded for some strange reason like it would be just a little less artificial-tasting than my other option: grape. Well they did taste artificial, and the texture was weird, and it was just weird and I didn't like it very much.

My last summer camp I went to was one week long, and everyone there was obsessed with the word "squelch" it seems, and "squidge" (I made up that one; it sorta reminds me of cream cheese in a ziploc bag LOL). Also some of my friends were learning Pig-Latin, which is basically where you say each word with the first consonant sound at the end instead of the beginning, and then put a letter Aa sound at the end, that's the best I can describe it. That's also where I learned the Wellerman Song, which was also pretty popular there, it seemed. That might've been the best one I went to all summer!

Our cabin was nameless so me and my cabinmates named it: the Mystical Girls Cabin. I also  (To myself) nicknamed it the Chaos Cabin, because when you pack 7 girls, 2 counselors, and a german shepherd + all there stuff, into a little cabin in the woods (No it wasn't the woods but it was close to it) that's exactly what you get: total chaos. Everybody kept on losing things, somebody spilled a pack of goldfish crackers underneath my bed, making it smell like artificial cheddar, which was very unpleasant particularly because I (naturally) didn't have much space, so I would pretty much just chuck things under the bed. The nice thing about that is that my suitcase was under there, open so I could grab things out of it, so when I chucked things under the bed, they would most often land in my suitcase, or right next to it.

One really fun thing about that was the showers. The shower stalls had gaps under the walls so me and my friends could hear each other, and chat and sing and have shower parties and stuff. The first night I showered there I didn't know how to carry my stuff to and from the showers, so I ended up dropping my pajama shirt in a puddle, so that wasn't good. But then I developed the strategy of wrapping everything in my towel, so that worked. I also learned that it's not that bad showering in flipflops. We had to, and I didn't have waterproof shoes so my bunkmate let me borrow a pair of hers.

One of the counselors had the cutest guide dog ever!! Her name was Puff and she was a golden, and oh, she was getting the royal treatment from us campers, I tell you, she was the sweetest!! Also, I tried out Swift Playgrounds, which is a ipad app, where you can do coding puzzles and learn to code, you can even make real actual apps on it and send them to the app store!!! It was hilariously frustrating because the puzzles were hard but it was fun. I also made a ton of what were meant to be bracelets, but I couldn't wear them because I put waaaayyyy too many beads on them and then couldn't tie them off. I put them in my camp duffel bag which I think I lost, which is really sad because I had fruitsnacks in there, and I loooooovvve fruitsnacks, so yea that was sad.

After that summer camp, I just kinda chilled, and worked on my persuasive essay, as I told you before I'm rebelling against summer reading by not doing my packet, and instead writing a persuasive essay on why I was justified. Honestly! Also, my second cousin came over, and I hadn't seen her in a really long time so that was really fun! I went to see a light show at the zoo, and although I had to have most of it described to me, it was fun anyway. I also had fried dough there, and it was yummy! Then the next day we went out for lunch me and my family, and I had a lobster roll with french fries. It was really yummy too! And then I had a cookie dough ice cream cone and I didn't spill a drop of it on myself. Also some of the paper (You know the kind they wrap the cone in) melted onto the cone and got stuck there, so I ended up eating a little bit of paper, but it was fine, I barely tasted it. Then I tried some banana taffy which  was good, but not as good as the ice cream.

I also had to go to the dentist to get two sealants replaced, but that was ok.

Anyways, now onto my current favorites:

New songs:

Well, as I said already theres the

Wellerman Song

and yea theres a few others, too, that I just heard recently, there's

Little Talks

by Of Monsters And Men, which is actually stuck in my head at this moment.

Also, I just heard a few more songs by Ava Max:

Alone Part II

and

Choose Your Fighter

which is from the Barbie movie, which I have no interest in seeing even though everyone else has.

When I started this blog one of my cousins had the idea to add Bible verses to my posts, so I did for a while, then I sorta forgot, but I did recently start looking up some inspirational bible verses. Here are some of my favorites:

"Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them."

-Ephesians 4:29

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

-Galatians 6:9

I'm going to end that there because, although I could go on forever, I want to save some for my other posts!

I've been really liking the book series Guardians Of Ga'Hoole lately, it's an animal fantasy, about owls from the Great Ga'Hoole Tree

I really do like animal fantasies, some of other favorites are Warriors and Wings Of Fire, and I'm thinking of trying out Bravelands, Bamboo Kingdom etc, they're by the same people who write warriors, so that's cool. I also started Survivors but only read like half of the first book before losing interest and moving on. This happens a lot with me and books: it takes me a few times reading them through to actually understand them.

That'll be it for me today! Util next time, this is Miss Gevious, signing off!
